To be honest, I recommended to a colleague, who was looking for a big screen and long battery life phone for his wife to buy an eMax. They got the phone yesterday (from Antelife's French warehouse) and the wife is simply amazed and really loves it. However, she haven't read the discussions here and doesn't care about the android version of her phone. Just simply uses it and loves its performance, screen quality and battery life. That's all.
As far as I know, that development is still in progress. Maybe they don't have enough experts to do the job in time. They portfolio is not that wide in my opinion, but that depends on the amount of their skilled professionals, of course. I have no information about that.

Well its now October and still no lollipop, I'm just gonna give up hoping for it. But you never know they may surprise us and skip to marshmallow, sorry I just made myself laugh when I said that.
@leodensian . the product was sold with a claim that it would be upgraded to android lollipop. since android marshmallow is in final development I believe UMI have been given a reasonable opportunity to make good on their claims. since nobody from UMI is willing to come forward and clarify the situation then worst case scenario can be assumed. I have already contacted the amazon seller to clarify their position and if i'm not happy with their response i'll contact amazon and see what their perspective on the issue is.
I've just noticed that Android 6 is due to start rollout with at least one carrier 10 days from now. This essentially means the phone I purchased from UMI 2 weeks ago will be 2 generations behind. That's not good enough. If there is no working Android Lollipop made available by close of play Friday my handset will be getting returned and I will go to another manufacturer. I will also advise the people in my office who have purchased the same model on my recommendation to do likewise.
As much as I want to download this I might hang on a few days just to see what other people have found in the way of bugs. Hopefully it should all be fine and everyone will be happy. Who knows, it may even improve the camera

My eMax runs fast and smooth with the current Kitkat. I am very satisfied. I'm not so sure I want to do this upgrade. It 'just my opinion of course. I will wait your feedback when Lollipop will be on.
