Hi,

I live in the UK. I purchased a UMI eMAX recently and now lost on how to insert the SIM card into the slots.
I tried to insert a micro SIM into the SIM slot but it wouldnt fit inside. It kept popping out and never fit inside. I couldn't close the SIM slot lid after inserting the SIM. Phone did not recognise the SIM at all.

So, then I inserted a nano SIM into the slot and now the SIM is stuck inside the slot and I cannot remove it. Any help on how to remove the SIM that is stuck inside the slot??
As I cannot remove the back plate out of the phone, I am lost on how to get the SIM out of the lsot. I am not able to use the mobile phone at all now.
Any help would be great!!!

thanks

Tomorrow I'll make a video of how you can open the back cover. I hope they can see how to make the SIM card.

I arrive a little late, sorry ... It's not the way to get the jammed but insert and remove card.

Insert SIM UMI Emax.

Hi,

I did follow the instructions on the sticker again but still could not insert a micro SIM successfully into the slot. It's becoming a bit silly and getting frustrated too as I am not able to use the pone.

Is there any video to show this simple process of inserting a  SIM into slot in UMI EMAx. Sounds like a very silly question but I think eMAX inability to remove the backplate to remove stuck SIM may become a design flaw for users like me.

It should have been simple to insert a SIM and get going but this is proving to be extremely difficult.

Any help?

Actually the SIM is well stuck in the slot. I tried to remove with the tweezers but no joy. Is there a way to remove the backplate.

Wonderful video jandrivirix! That helps a lot! Little things like this makes a difference

But I am still stuck with the same old problem of mine. I had by mistake inserted a nano SIM into the SIM1 slot and I had pushed it too far. So, if I try with a pin now to 'insert and remove' as you show in the video, the SIM doesn't come out. So, effectively the SIM is stuck inside the slot.

However, I still have the SIM2 slot free for my other SIM, so all is not lost. But I would like to get the stuck nano SIM card in SIM1 slot out so that I can truly have a dual-SIM phone Any ideas?

I have good and bad news. The good is that it is very easy to remove the back cover, the bad news is that not being in my house (I'm on vacation) I do not have my tools and I have not been able to remove a small screw to remove it completely, and I could not see if from the back of the anchor of the SIM card you can be pushed to remove it. I hope at least the video serves you help solve the problem. By the way, I lost almost half nail, but I do not care ...

Poor Alejandro, you're a hero.  Thank you for this video. Specific disassemble tools make the job  ...

Awesome and risky effort jandrivirix. That peeling the backplate looked painful, hopefully it was not that bad. I will try this and will let you know if I succeed in dismantling the backplate. Hopefully it won't invalidate the warranty on the phone. I don't have big nails neither so will have to resort to a very thin blade or card. Fingers crossed. Cheers.
