I inserted 2nd SIM card and now phone is locked

Hi there UMI community,

I have a UMI eMax and I've inserterd a 2nd SIM card.
After doing that (and typing SIM PIN correctly) I see now a permanent warning on the phone telling me to
type the "privacy and protection password".
I never set such a password I never had anything like this;
Is this from UMI or from Google? Where can I find this p & p password?

My phone is now completely locked, although I have all pins and passwords for it and all accounts are ok ;..  what can I do?

I tried the default things like "0000" and so on

you may try PUK of second SIM card. But don't try and fail too much. Just once.

I have the same problem. Phone is Locked. I have Factory reset made. Does not work. And whit PUK is same. Help

I think, such issues might be related to the trader's before-shipping-test activity. A specific service tool (Volcano, Infinity etc.) can unlock your phone but if you don't have a such tool, you might have to find a skilled repairman. What you can try to do at home is to completely reflash the firmware of your phone with SP Flash Tool. You can download it from HERE.
