Good day everyone,

I am a UMi Super user from the Philippines,
I received my unit last June 17, 2016.
Got it from Gearbest for $199.99 plus 8.85 delivery cost and around $25 for our country's custom tax.
after around 3 days of normal use I have observed that there is a problem with my screen.
They say it is called screen burn (please see attached pic).
I am planning to ask for a replacement from the seller but still in doubt because of the additional cost (another dellivery and very high tax from our country).
Now, I am thinking about returning the item and ask for a refund and buy a locally brand available in the PH to save shipping and tax.

Anyone having the same issue with the screen?

Thanks.

Dear users,

I'm sorry but this one is such an issue that I can't help to resolve remotely. The LCD seems to be intact and if the edges have changed to darker and not the center area is lighter than before, than possible the mirror film under the LCD panel has peeled off. But that's just a theory again, the real issue and its reason cannot be identified via some not too close and average quality photos.
Actually I just can suggest you to return these damaged devices for a replacement.

Dear UMi Super users,

According to the published photos, this defection is definitely not a burnt s ...

Mhhhh , it sounds strange to me. I don't really understand how devices well boxed and protected could take humidity and even if this could happen the same thing should be experienced by all other devices of other brands stored by the same retailers..

Edited by Gozvian at 2016-6-29 12:56 \n\nI have the same problem I did was send the phone to the seller, he said he would look and see what you can do. I certainly hope that is repairable and that will never happen again, or I will open dispute on paypal, I am to walk always in ensuring always give the same problem.

Edited by danilx at 2016-6-29 20:16 \n\n Edited by danilx at 2016-6-29 20:15 \n\nMaybe I have the same problem. I need for this reason ask you if the problem is always visible or it is visible with a particular color I mean in my device only with a dark grey colour (not back) is clearly visible. While with a black wallpaper is not visible at all. Hope you give me a feedback about your case so I can understand if my device is also affected.  Thanks Bye

I have the same problem.
Im a buyer from germany.

I have buyed this device since 3 weeks.
The screen was very damage with water under the screnn (see your picture - the same by my telephone)
Now, every day is the screen better.

I think 3 weeks later is the screen normaly.

I think the screen get the water under the glass from airplan. the air pressure pushes the pure condensation if the airplan by landing process.

sry for the terrible englinsh

Edited by danilx at 2016-7-3 02:33 \n\nThe screen clouding on my device is going away. Now it is better, but I left it under uv lamp for 30 minutes and I repeated this process 3 times. Maybe in my case was the loca glue which was not completely dry. Hope my experience could help someone of you.
Bye
