Problem with switching to front camera

Hi,

first of all ROM version: V3.03-20160510, latest FOTA update.

when I try to switch to the front camera, using Google Camera or Open Camera, both application freeze.
I mean, there is no action, just black screen; you can't go back to the main screen pressing the "Back" button, only when you press "Home" button will redirect you to the main screen.
Trying to open once again any of this application is without result, it only reminds you that "other application" is using camera device.
Only reboot helps you, but even that after restart you are not able to switch to the front camera.

Hi Ornipant,

I can't reproduce this issue either with Open Camera. Do you experience the same problem with the stock camera or with these two apps only? Maybe another third party app installed on your system is conflicting.

I have problem in both application, none of them was not able to switch to front camera.
I just uninstall Open Camera, reboot the phone and run the stock camera, unfortunately same result, front camera can't be used.

I don't have any other 3rd party application installed which use camera device.

Hi,

I install another camera app (Camera MX) and when I try to switch to front camera I catch this exception
Maybe this will help in further investigation.

Hi Ornipant,

It's not an Android issue but a driver level problem or a defection of the physical connection of the camera modul.
To rule out the possibility of an existing software error, I suggest you to flash your phone with SP Flash Tool, choosing the 'Firmware Upgrade' option in the flasher application. That process will completely rewrite the whole software content of your device. - You will lose your user data.

If that doesn't help, then I'm afraid, your phone must be disassembled to reconnect the ribbon cable of the front camera module. If this physical issue will be discovered, I suggest you to contact your reseller. They are responsible for validating your warranty.
