how many times we wondered what's the real battery capacity of our eMax?
This test answers to our question! ;)

What do you think?

I don't care if it is 3780 or 3440 mAh. I'm happy with eMax's battery performance. I can get 6 hours of screen time and nearly 2 days of standby time which is enough for me

The real battery capacity of eMAX might be lower than the advertised value, but this test surely don ...

really interesting I did not know the method you mentioned, with the test in the video, however, we can have an idea, right?

I'm fine with battery discrepancy as well. Its not like we went from 3700 to 1200 or something like what happened with the old Hammer .  Battery life is excellent considering the screen and processor.  I had a THL 4000 prior to this so I am spoiled for battery life. But that beast had a pretty low res screen and only quad core.

Ha Ha Ha..... The test equipment measures the energy put into the cell, not the energy it delivers. (How can it tell without putting the cell through a discharge cycle to discover how much energy it delivers).

Now it is true that Li-ion batteries can deliver approx 99% charge efficiency, but that is not the same as energy efficiency. - the charging voltage is higher than the voltage the cell delivers.  i.e. almost all the electrons you put into the cathode come out again - but at lower energy.

Normally, the output voltage is 3.7V and the charging input should never be higher than 4.2V unless you want to considerably shorten the life of the battery. However, it seems that the clown on the video was applying 5.25V. So at best the battery can only deliver 70% of the energy he supplied.  So I think that all this video proves is that the battery does not have the capacity that UMI claim it has.
