Hello everyone, I need help with this one. I have a Umi Rome from 2 months ago and from a couple of days I have this issue. When I tried to connect the phone to the charger it won't charge, unless the phone is off. And it can NOT be connected to the computer. Everything works fine before that. I've tried different cables and power supplyes but no result. I do hard reset but no result. I want to install the new firmware version 3.05 /now I have 3.03/ but I don't know how can i do that without pc support. Can you help me with this problem please?Regards

Dear amorphisa,

If you got through all the processes that you mentioned, probably the USB socket of your phone is damaged.
Please try to update the firmware of your phone with SP Flash Tool. Link: http://community.umidigi.com/for ... peid%26typeid%3D162
That's unconditionally works if the USB connection is intact. If you can't flash your phone, I suggest you to take it to a repair shop to resolder the USB port. You may contact your reseller to negotiate in a compensation of your repair costs.

Regards,
Bence

Hello Bence again,
I've been to a couple of repair shops and everybody tell me that the problem is not in the USB connection, because it still chraging but in offline mode. They told me that this is a software problem and they need to put a new software on the phone but they don't have it.
BTW I was able to flash my phone to newest firmware v3.05 but still no result.
Do you know from where I can get this software?
Thanks

Hi,

The firmware is the software, you don't need anything other. If you were able to flash your phone with SP Flash Tool, then the USB port is intact. So now I don't understand what result is that you don't get. Do you mean, you could flash your phone with SP Flash Tool but it's still not able to establish a USB connection or at least charging? Which version of Windows do you use?

@amorphisa Hi! Did you managed to solve your problem? It seems that I might be having the same one. Except that I did not try to charge it while offline. Thank you in a advance.
