[UMI Touch] microphone very low level

Hi,

I received my UMI Touch from Ali Express/HongKong Goldway on 2016.04.23 12:33 (GMT-7): Item delivered.

I upgraded to latest Android using OTA (ver. 2016/04/15).

The phone as microphone problem.

During calls, sound from microphone is too low,  my caller can't ear my voice correctely.
This is really a big problem.
I did the AMR correction for French network, but without amelioration.

I tried to modify the MIC level using Mobile Uncle Tools MTK:

Engineer Mode Menu / Audio / Normal mode / Type / Mic / Level

But this has not resolved the low MIC level.
Strange is that during call I can ear my voice corectly on the head speaker.
What can be done to correct this problem?

Yes it was when i received the phone.
After some other test, i managed to make microphone runing using MTK Engineering Mode (available Free on Android Play Store).
I whent to MTK Settings/Telephony/AMR-WB on/off:
=> Enable GSM AMR-WB checked
=> Enable UMTS AMR-WB checked
And MTK Settings/Hardware Testing/Audio/Normal Mode :
Type :MIC
on all Level 1 to 14 I set 255
And now microphone is working good during calls.

That's enough to dial *#*#3646633#*#* to access the EngineerMode, you don't need a specific app for that. On the other hand, I thank you for sharing your solution. It might be useful for some users.

New ROM update was just released, maybe they addressed this issue too...

I recommend to apply that update but it won't resolve a such issue since it's hardware based.

I re-tested using those default value, MIC is too low, so I modify again to max value 255.

A question, iam able to "destroy" something when i change the mic volume?
I changed everything to 192 from lvl 0-14, can this harm my phone?
