Hi,

The fingerprint sensor on the UMI touch sometimes works fine, but sometimes it would not recognise my finger at all.

Additionally I had a few days where it would open the device using any of my fingers although I have only set one finger up - kinda defeats the whole point of the sensor!

Latest FOTA installed on the phone already. Fingerprint is really a hit and miss. I will try and register my fingers again after cleaning the sensor.

Hi,

Please, check if your fingerprint sensor and your own fingers are clean and damage free.
If you haven't done it yet, install the latest FOTA update (V3.03-20160415) in Settings --> About phone --> Wireless update.

Can you try to calibrate your fingerprint?
We will optimize the fingerprint continuously, we will release a new OTA recently, our engineers are testing it.

Even after the latest update V3.03-20160415 the fingerprint sensor doesn't work well.
I am able to register several different fingers but only the first is recognized.
I did the calibration several times with no better result.

Please, ask another person (younger and/or different gender) to test the fingerprint sensor to discover if he/she gets the same bad results or not.

Hi,

I´m having the same issues as the other buyers, I don´t know if this can be related to the fact that the Fingerprint sensor it´s not perfectly centered, but I´ve tried all possible solutions I saw here in Forum but without success.

The only "temporary" solution I found (surely not the best one) is to reboot the device, and do all operations from scratch (delete fingerprint, recalibrate, rescan finger), and this works til next failure.
