Hi I understand and agree. In your earlier post I interpret that the phone will not charge faster then with the 1.0 amp charger and it actually does charge faster if you use a higher amp charger. Also it will not become warm when charging with a 2 amp or higher charger. About power consumption: My first 2 rounds of usage got me about 6 hours SOT and 30 hours standby usage. The standby usage is high though, it is just the ' phone idle'  process consuming even more then the 6 hours sot. So i guess there is even some more optimizing to do by Umi in a new Rom. The combination of heavy usage with sot and standby is a good start though!

Dear,
Umi Touch can't support quick charge

Quick charging significantly reduces the lifetime of the battery (UMI Zero was a good example), so if you ask me, that's better to not to have that option. Average users very seldom need that to fully recharge their phone in an hour while the battery has enough capacity to serve you through a whole day even with massive use.

Sorry if i hijack this thread. my own thread never got an answer.  from reviews i know the charger is 5V 1A and as you can imagine charging a 4000mAh battery going to take at least 3.5-4hours (based on Redmi note 3 which only takes around 2-2.5hours)

is it ok to to use 5V 2A charger?

You may use any higher amperage charger. Your phone just simply won't use its maximum capacity while charging but it won't cause any damages if you use a good quality, stabilized output charger. However, as always, the use of a factory charger is recommended.

That is not true unfortunately. I used a charging cable with integrated voltage and amp meter and connected to a 2A plus charger, it reads 1.4A charging the Umi Touch! I get a similar reading with my LG G4. The thing is now if this is bad for this phone or not?

What I wrote is true and your words simply don't confute it to prove your statement. Maybe you just simply didn't understand what I wrote. Using a higher amperage charger doesn't damage your phone but using a too low amperage charger can damage the charger itself and a damaged charger can output overvoltage, that finally can damage your phone. So, as a conclusion, using a too low amperage charger can be dangerous but using a higher amperage one is not harmful.
