Hi to everyone,

New v3.04 has been released for UMI Rome. You can find it in ROM section

Here you can see basic steps for flashing v3.04 in your ROME:

These steps are indicated to apply in a clean computer without drivers. If you already has drivers installed and Flashtool is working fine, go directly to point 4:

1.- Install pdanet drivers following the instructions. Download from here:  http://pdanet.co/a/

2.- Install vcom drivers following instructions. Be sure to select correct installation file depending of your OS version (32 bits or 64 bits). Download from here: MT65x3_USB_VCOM_drivers.zip

3.- Connect ROME powered ON with usb debugging ON (see how to activate on forum tutorial) and wait for drivers install

4.- Disconnect phone and switch OFF

5.- Open SP Flashtool (SP_Flash_Tool_Win_v5.1548.rar) and load scatter from ROM folder.

6.- Choose “firmware upgrade” mode

7.- Press “download” button

8.- Remove battery of ROME and without pressing any button, connect phone to computer with USB cable

9.- Flash will start. You only have to wait until will finish

Different tests have been made with v3.04 installed on ROME

1.- Wifi has been tested checking connection near and far of router. Connection is stable and is not lost.
2.- Bluetooth has been tested pairing with a band and with a car system. Connection was successfully.
3.- Camera has been checked inside third apps like whatsapp. Now is working perfectly and never crash
4.- Checking switching off screen. In my case I never experienced this issue but I was doing tests disabling and enabling automatic brightness and never swtched off screen. By default automatic brigthness is coming disabled. As a suggestion, users with black screen problem could try to install this ROM to be sure that is a hardware problem
5.- Touchscreen problem. After flash ROM and with SGS touchscreen booster app, touchscreen experience is better but we are using a 2 points multitouch phone.
6.- 3G and 4G tested and working perfectly
7.- Overheting. A long quantity of hours with 4G connected and display switched ON with a books app and phone was not overheating
8.- Calls tested and working perfectly
9.- FM Radio tested and working perfectly

Hi, I had a problem with restoring my google account, since hours before flashing a new rom 3.04 had changed the password to my google account and turn on the phone after flashing google not allow me to verify my account it is true that I have to wait 72 hours. without being able to use the phone? there any way to erase all existing information on the phone not to make me wait those 72 hours.? or it is impossible and there is no other but wait.

GPS problem same as was before. YGPS see satellites, but can't connect to them. Tested with different programs - result is same (location get only with aGPS, but not with a GPS or GLONAS satellites).

Dear,
I have consulted our enginners about your question, they said if you flash your phone, your phone won't save your account information, so you need to input your account and password again. Have you forgot your goole account? We won't change your goole password and the 72 hours is set by goole.
