UMI Rome X issues
"Apps that are meant to run at startup don't.
For example, I installed GSam Battery Monitor - when running, this app has a permanent notification showing the battery percentage.
If I reboot the phone, this notification does not appear - until I run the app.
This also affects updating widgets (like the Weather & Clock widget from devexpert) and receiving notifications from PayPal, eBay etc...
It may even have contributed to a few SMS messages being lost, although I can't be sure about that.

Secondly, background services do not run correctly.
Taking GSam Battery Monitor as an example again - when you run the app the notification appears.
If you then swipe right on the list of running tasks, the app if killed - along with the notification!
This is not normal Android behaviour."

PLEASE, we need this fixed!

We are all still waiting for a resolution.

No one comes forward to let us know anything.

How long is going to still take UMI, to come forward and fix this issue for us?

I am sorry, but I felt the need to create an independent thread as I had obtained no replies to this issue at the time.
I decided to keep this thread up, as we still have no resolution or a specific answer to this issue yet.
Everyday I check for a possible OTA (over-the-air) update that will solve this issue.
Everyday I check for a ROM update in Rootjoy that will possibly solve it.
Everyday I monitor this forum up and down, hoping for acknowledgment of the issue and a resolution from UMI.
Up until now, all I know is that I bought a smartphone that does not work as such, which does not receive app notifications.
All the apps I have are useless without this issue being fixed.
We still have no answers and no resolution at sight.
Please understand how frustrating this situation can be and help us pass the message across, but also help us resolve this issue by pressuring the engineers to fix it as fast as possible.
Thank you.

Both the active moderators has replied HERE, you just shouldn't report the same issue in multiple threads.
We're waiting for the update, please be patient.

This is a budget phone with 1 gb ram only not really done for multi tasking.

I think developers have done this to make a fast single task phone, because swap makes lag that makes crash and instability, waking up problems etc etc.

Personally i will install 3.01 firmware because it seems no touch screen bug no gps bug and i'm searching for a simple budget and with a little bit of memory available to have a responsive and not buggy system
