Hello

I will like to know if Umi are working on the image noise problem which I have noticed many have reported.

I have a another problem when using the audio jack and altering the sound effects I am not able to put the bass boost to the max otherwise the mobile will freeze and I will be forced to restart but I have worked around this by using bluetooth headphones which work perfectly and a method I prefer so this is not a major concern.

Could a moderator confirm if Umi are currently working on rectifiying the image noise please and if possible provide an estimation on how long we may have to wait?

Thanks

Hi mik9,

When you say noise pictures, are you talking when photos are made in dark situatíns with flash? If this is the problem, as said Pela, is a known problem from Iron, and engineers are trying to fix flash duration in order get better quality on photos with flash.

Could you do a test?. Could you change on camera settings exposure from 0 to +3 and check if quality is some better?

Regards

So can anyone explain me, what is actually stated by UMI? Does Umi Iron Pro contain SONY MX214 sensor or not?

Hello , i don't think that is flash duration problem but the sync time of flash and capture.
( the flash lit some ms before the capture and capture is dark).
The problem that out friend says like noise it's actualy like noise !!! in solid same color area with no shadows the color makes
a lot of tiny "worms".Like of tv with no signal in UHF bands. LOL
And i dont think it is a 8 or 5 even more a 2 mp camera ..!!!!
Maby it is a just VGA camera.

"EDIT" : Do you know any log or other file that keep settings from MTK Engineering Mode program ???
I make some changes and calibrations and my main camera works much much better with 0 exposure and auto WB. even at complete dark situation!!!
Please any one who knows to help other people !!!

Hi Angel_UMI

No I am not referring to pictures taken in dark situation with flash, although that is also another concern as the flash seems to be delayed and not correctly timed.
I am referring to the actually photo in normal conditions as it seems its not being processed correctly, it leaves the picture with loads of little patchy areas (worms as Giannakis1983 described) which need to be smoothened out.

I have a Huawei Y300 which has a 5MP camera and will post both the Huawei and Umi Iron Pro pictures taken from the same distance of 11 feet away, both pictures were taken at maximum zoom and if you zoom into the pictures uploaded you will see exactly what I mean when stating patchy areas patchy areas/worms. They are also visible when exposure is set to +3.
