Problems with SD Card on eMax Mini

Hi all,

I am in need of some help. I have downloaded FOTO a gallery app from the App store. I want to be able to use the app to organise the pictures I have on my 64GB SDXC card. My phone recognises the SD card as I can see/move use everything on the SD card through the File Manager app within Android 5.02 but within any gallery apps the permissions aren't allowing me to write/alter any of the pictures on the SD card. It says I need to select the SD card but as the software takes me through the process the SD card isn't an option only the internal memory.

I've checked the SD card and there are no issues. I've also changed it for a smaller 16GB card and this is recognised and I can go through the process and select. I feel this is a small issue but I can't figure out what the issue is? I've checked the partition format etc and the 64GB is the same as the 16GB

How do I fix this? I don't want to revert to the 16GB card. Any help/ideas of what the issue is would be grately appreciated.

Hi Andy,

To access the external SD card is prohibited for apps in 4.4 and newer Android systems. You can bypass that restriction by installing and running SDFix. However, your case seems to be strange since a 16GB memory card shouldn't be different. Format your 64GB card to exFAT system.

Indeed, this seems to be a problem with format more than Android. Apple wants a CLOSED product which work only with MAC. I would not be surprised if you just need to format your SD card
