The user part of the internal memory is called internal SD card. So earlier you had an internal and an external SD card but nowadays the internal memory is not divided to a data partition (where the apps are installed as a default setting) and an internal SD card but the whole thing is one partition. For example, if you had an 8GB phone, that had a 2GB data partition (about 1.5GB for the system) and the remaining 4.5GB storage space made an internal SD card. So, if the 2GB was not enough for the downloaded apps, you had to move them to the internal SD card. Nowadays that's not needed, since outside the system you've got only one partition on the internal memory that can store the apps and user data as well. |
