Recover dead fingerprint scanner and missing Google key after full flash format Please, use this tool only if you've lost your fingerprint scanner by formatting the flash chip or flashing an incompatible ROM. In other cases, it will not be effective. If you are uncertain, please contact me (via email) before sending payment.
This solution is only for UMIDIGI A3, A3 Pro, Power, A5 Pro and X running Android 9 system and for UMIDIGI A3S, A3X, F2 and Power 3 running Android 10 system
Updated: 2021, September 24
Please note: By formatting the flash chip of your UMIDIGI device or installing a non-factory system software (''custom ROM'') on it, you instantly lose both your manufacturer's and seller's warranty. Therefore, the solution provided here does not offer further support, regardless of you are able to successfully use it or not.
As a requirement of Google GMS verification, UMIDIGI smartphones shipped with Android 9 and newer systems, store unique identifiers of the fingerprint scanner on a special (tee) partition. It's similar to the nvram partition, that stores IMEI, MAC address and other unique identifiers. However, unlike for the nvram (SN Writer or Maui META), a free tool to recover the fingerprint scanner data on the tee partition is not available. By formatting the whole flash chip (not only the partitions and data shipped with factory ROMs), that unique data will be deleted without the possibility of recovering it. Please never format the full flash ROM of your UMIDIGI smartphone! Fortunately, there's a working solution but since it's not a warranty related (manufacturing) issue and each phone needs to generate a unique activation file by our engineers, we can offer it only as a paid service. You'll have four steps to be done.- Generate request file (its path will be C:\microtrust_metalog\Request\your phone's identifier.req).
- Send US $15.00 to (removed email address) via PayPal. You may click the 'Pay Now' button below for easy starting the process. Video with instructions: https://youtu.be/E2WKiCI6q6Y
Please note,
- Activation requests without payment will not be replied.
- Since digital deliveries are not protected by PayPal's seller protection, we can accept payaments sent only as 'Sending to a friend'. If you pay 'for an item or service', your payment will get refunded without processing your request. Here's a video with instructions: https://youtu.be/E2WKiCI6q6Y
- Once the activation file has been sent to you (our service is fulfilled), your payment is not refundable anymore.
- Email your request (.req) file as an attachment to (removed email address) with the subject ''Fingerprint activation A9'' or ''Fingerprint activation A10'' (according to the Android version on your phone), and wait for the reply.
- Activate your phone using the file you received (its path must be C:\microtrust_metalog\ActiveFiles\your phone's identifier.rsp - you need to create the ActiveFiles folder manually and copy your .rsp file into it).
Remark: If your phone's bootloader is unlocked, first you need to re-lock it. It is always locked by default.

Let's get started step by step
You have to power off your phone for this process!
- Extract the content of the remote_active_tools.rar file.
- Brows to remote_active_tools\GetRequest\Output and run SN Writer.exe.
- Do not change any settings, just click on the Start button, then quickly connect your powered off(!) phone to a USB port.
- First your phone will boot into pre-loader mode, then switches to meta mode (reconnects to your computer), and the read-out process is going to start.
- After finished, you will see a green PASS notification. Now you may close this program and disconnect your phone from USB.
If you experience any issues, please visit the SN Writer tutorial for possible reasons and solutions.
- Brows for your generated .req file in C:\microtrust_metalog\Request\.If that folder is empty or not even the C:\microtrust_metalog\Request\ folder is present, run the Request tool again but now as an administrator.
- If your request file is properly generated, send US $15.00 to (removed email address) via PayPal as 'Sending to a friend'. You may click the 'Pay Now' button below for easy starting the process. Video with instructions: https://youtu.be/E2WKiCI6q6Y
- Email your request (.req) file as an attachment to (removed email address) with the subject ''Fingerprint activation A9'' or ''Fingerprint activation A10'' (according to the Android version on your phone), and wait for the reply. Please note, the fingerprint scanner requests will be processed once a week (usually on Mondays), so you can expect to get your activation file in 1-7 days.
- After you've received your activation file, create a folder called ActiveFiles in the C:\microtrust_metalog folder and copy your .rsp file into it.
The file name of your .rsp file must match with the name of your .req file that you generated earlier. If the file names are different, then you've got a wrong activation file, please contact me via (removed email address)
- Now go back to the extracted content of the remote_active_tools.rar file, brows to remote_active_tools\ActiveDevice\Output and run SN Writer.exe.
- Repeat the same process described in paragraph 3-5 but before starting, now select 'Key Files → Attestation Key' and brows for your appropriate Attestation key file in the AttestationKeys folder
.
You are done! Now you can power on your phone and set up the fingerprint scanner. You can use your activation file any times again but only on that sepcific device.
If you try to use a wrong file or placed it in a wrong path, you'll get an error message and the fingerprint scanner of your phone will not be activated. Please check your file and the correct file path.
