Just purchased this phone - UMi eMAX MTK6752 - when I go to SETTINGS/ DISPLAY I get an error message .........."Unfortunately Settings has Stopped" - how do I rectify this error please.  Its running Android 4.4.4

Download Rootjoy from HERE, then with Rootjoy download and install the V05 0715 version ROM. That's the latest and most stable stock ROM for this phone, and it will solve your problem as well.

Thanks for the response.

The web link that you gavce me Rootjoy Download   does not work - the page comes up but the DOWNLOAD button fails to do anythng.

Can you advise an alternate method of getting the software.

I checked the links and both are okay. I recommend you to download the "Current version" since that's newer than the one available on the official page. That's a direct link to a file stored on my own mediafire web storage. I'm sure that works perfectly. Just turn off your anti virus app before exreacting it.

That was a good response - turned off virus software and it downloaded .  

I have downloaded the new operating system -  can you tell me please the procedure to get it on to the phone ?
