Hi UMI forum users,

I just bought a UMI Emax and the issue I have is related with the display settings.
When I press "Display" I get a error " Unfortunately, Settings has stoped" . Is the a wrokarround for this issue?

Best regards

Dear lfreitaz,

That's an issue related to some languages. I guess you've set Portuguese language and here just translated the error message. If you set your phone to English, you won't get that error message.
The latest ROM update has solved this issue so I suggest you to download and install Rootjoy, and download and install the KitKat V05 0715 firmware version. Be patient while installing the new firmware on your phone. The progress bar might be stuck for a while but the installation is still running in the background. Other versions (with different name, not KitKat) are English/Chinese only releases and not so stable. so I don't recommend them.

Faithfully,
Bence

Dear Bence,

I've set the language to English and still get the message. I'll try the new firmware version that you suggested me.
I'll be in touch about the update.

thanks for the help

You're welcome.
Maybe after changing the language you need to restart your phone to get rid of that error message, but that doesn't make sense. Better to update to the newest version.

I had that problem... I resolved it downloading some app (any app) from Play Store for adjusting brightness, opened the app, activated the auto brightness and then the brightness menu started working! ;)

I saw this solution somewhere on the net but I can't find link again... You can remove the downloaded app after this!

Regards
