Fingerprint sensor "fooled" by various metal objects

I discovered yesterday, having owned my Umi Plus for 2 weeks now, that the fingerprint sensor can be tricked into unlocking the phone by passing a variety of metal objects over the sensor! I realised this as my 2 year old son had been playing with my phone (while locked) and my keys at the same time, a short while later I noticed it was unlocked and he had managed to call a number of my friends!! After some testing today, I have found it possible to unlock the phone using coins, keys, a cigarette lighter, nail file, spoon, and an old metal tobacco tin, simply by passing them lightly over the sensor! Everything else on the phone works great, and I am still very happy with it, I would like to know if this is a known problem, or a rare fault/faulty sensor?

yep - same here - the finger print scanner is a piece of crap.

Further to this, I have also been able to unlock it with my watch, sunglasses, a silver necklace, and a small padlock. I'm astonished!!

Check in settings if smartlock is activated.

Guys, you got it all wrong.
fingerprint scanner "has an outstanding reliability". It's written. Then it must be true.
the fact that it's unlocked by random metal object, or even when in a jeans pocket (yes, it does happen quite often, check other posts about that...) is a pure coincidence.

touch i.d stop working was working fine now not wroking is there a fix or is there a latest update to 6.0 to there is ota out 7.11 how to get this update on to device .
