Hi all, today my UMI Super suddenly powered off and I can't make it turn on again. Battery was 80%+ and 2-3 apps were open in background (wasn't using it at the time). I tried connecting it to a charger or to the PC but nothing happened. I tried holding down the power button + volume down button and for 2-3 seconds the UMI logo appeared and the windows "USB connected" sound came on and after 1 second the screen turned off and the "USB disconnected" sound came on and a USB error notification appeared (device not recognized). Tried it many times and in 3 out of 10 tries I get this on and off, while at the rest tries... nothing. It seems like a software failure/corruption, is there anything I can do? I did no custom ROM flashes or mods and I'm running the latest firmware.

The procedure is made with the phone powered off. Just follow it and report back.

The most likely answer will be: Flash latest firmware using the SPFT tool - http://community.umidigi.com/thread-11-1-1.html

will it work with my phone? It seems to connect via USB and disconnect immediately.

It was not a software issue (corrupt ROM) but a hardware one: the battery cable came off! I put it back in place and sure enough it turned on and works fine now. I added a very thin (0.3mm) rubber slice behind it to keep it in place (battery has no two-side tape keeping it in place and it might have pulled it off).
