Yes friend i used stock lollipop kernel (3.10.65) to port android 7.1.1 -  like (moke 7.1.1, cm14.1, aosp 7.1.1).  

I'm glad to use my port CM12.1 .

I may take my umi phone to do some port for you...to clean this funny story.
But when I have more free time..

Hello friends.

I make a port on CM14.1 for Umi Iron.
I can not test it because I do not have a phone ... but you can...

Now I will tell you what to do!

Before doing anything... Backup your (5.1.1 lollipop) rom on external sd_card

- Upload (CM14.1- Gapps) on the external sd_card.
First - Should flash (recovery.img) to see if it works?
Recovery is TWRP-3.0.2.0-MarshmallowPartitionLayout port on elefone p8000.

1. If works go and wipe all without the external SD card.
And install CM14.1, Gapps, (SU root - is enabled in developer settings)
Boot time 10min. (on my  telephone).
2. If recovery does not work, you will need to go back and flash recovery 5.1.1 ,
   and restore your backup rom (5.1.1).
   Recovery may flash with (SP flashtool) or (Flashify) app on google play store.

Try to turn off button lights next go to / notification / up corner /settings/activate notification
