On the keypad dial *#*#4636#*#* and you will be able to see the volte provisioned is on.

So, UMI staff...  Everything ok with this device ?  No more need of firmware adjustments ?

Come on, it's working good. For the common user, WiFi AC has to fixed, I could't find any other urgent request. For the geek, other functionalities can be implemented, which I requested elsewhere. I don't expect much for the latter, but... the request is made.

So for you its "working good" when you cant rely on your Smart >Phone< to actually receive Calls?
For me at least its essential that not only the WiFi but also all other Basic Functionalities of a Smartphone work correctly and reliable.
I want to receive Calls (yes via VoLTE, VoWIFI too), i want to be connected in a stable manner to my Wireless Connections, be it Mobile Data or Wifi and i want all builtin Sensors to work.
Sure, let them have time to fix everything else that is "not as important" like the Bokeh Effect but still, they made a promise with features and have to be measured with that. Besides that each feature is important to some customer..

I think the most annoying part is that deafening silence from the official Site and many customers like me dont know whether to send it back right away or to be patient and expect an update at some point...
As always, Communication is Key but unfortunately that Key is missing

I agree, this is supposed to be one of their best phones and lately with the lack of communication from anyone at UMI it seems like they would like to push out more phones like the A3 which I can only assume has the same issue with Wifi, VoLTE... than address the consumers issues. We are all having the same issues and NEED to be addressed, two more weeks of silence from UMI without any fixes and the phone goes in the trash with my hope that the company will help us out.

I completely agree with you, mate.

It could be very useful for me, as for any Z2 Pro owner, knowing what UMI SW team is working on to improve the functionality of this phone, and, of course, the timing of any new future FW update (if predictable).

I'm worried about this silence, cause It looks like they don't really know what issue focus on (or worse, how to solve them)

After the latest wireless update, my z2 pro is not working for Volte. It has lost the capability. Earlier it was working. I want to use Jio sim in india and it is not working mow. How to fix this problem. When will umidigi release the update for this issue? Pl help. I don't want to flash manually as something may go wrong and there is no service station here.

When you don't hear the caller, click on the Loud Speaker icon. You'll have the choice between Bluetooth, Ear phone or normal telephone calls. VoLTE will work if you provider implements the service. WiFi is heavily dependant on your Access Point characteristics.

Really, I can use the Z2 Pro happily. WiFi is even working better than on my previous phone. The WiFi driver is a Mediatek problem, they write the code, not Umi. I agree Samsung drivers work better. But the Mediatek driver has got better for my use case.

Yes wifi also camera quality and app are MTK provided, anyway im using it every day, the price and problems are not worthy at all the material quality is ok, the software not.

Plus i think they have only one team for all the builds so now they must be working on A3 incredibly useless phone with hw from 3-4 years ago and Android 8...a big rock on a turtle.

As far as I know my Z2 pro, with the current 0926 update,  could connect to the 5Ghz band with 433Mbps link speed but only for a short time initially. Most of the time it stabilizes to 2.4Ghz at link speed 72Mbps in a house of 300m2 with 3 Tenda Nova Mw6 mesh wifi units that populate the house with up to 866 to 200+ Mbps at 5Ghz detectable with a laptop.  The Tenda Nova prioritizes the 5Ghz before the 2.4Ghz.

My older s2 pro has no ac wifi capability but picks up 135Mbps at 5Ghz everywhere in the house  while the newer z2 pro can only work with 2.4Ghz at 72Mbps.  That is  clearly a serious shortcoming of z2 pro wifi connectivity.  My worry is can the wifi problem be fixed by a software update or there is something seriously wrong impeding the 5Hgz band at the hardware level?

I would be interested to hear from UMI of their test results  on the 5Ghz wifi band.
