For everyone complaining about Do Not Disturb turning on during calls, this is actually a feature of Nougat and is the same on all Nougat devices.

The black notification slide down looks really bad, and I'm getting sick of it since the developers added it into Marshmallow. Nobody likes this - the transparent one was fine. Why add a huge black bar OBSTRUCTING the screen when it's unnecessary? If you still want it there - just enable an option in settings, as settings is given full system access (root).

Hello,
I just discovered using Activity Launcher 3 apps, hidden by the launchers: Podometer, Screen Capture, and Find my Device.
Why did you hide those ?

Hi all,

I started a thread with the same topic but it looks more like a bug so i've copied it here hoping for some advice on the problem below:

Hi all,

New to the UMI Z and forum but recently updated to Noudat 7.1.1 via OTA.

Now microphone gain appears to be too low people i'm calling are having trouble hearing me.

Only applies to calls via google dialer rather than Whatapps etc.

Have searched the engineering mode for an adjustment but nothing stands out for mic gain.

Any help would be appreciated or forwarded as a bug in the upgrade?

Many thanks in advance

Well you could create a battery management, the standard battery management of the android is very bad, the battery does not last as long as well

Edited by Jackobyte at 2017-6-12 07:11 \n\nI've given the devs some stick but I must say that I applied the OTA update directly with TWRP, installed Magisk 12.0 immediately, rebooted and everything is perfect, no issues at all and I applied the OTA over a much older version as I didn't upgrade since March release.

I will update if I have any issues but to be honest I love it so far and the battery life seems superb compared with the Marshmallow releases.
:UPDATE: I had a small issue with Bluetooth but this was resolved by forgetting and re-pairing each connection.  I can't believe how good the battery life is on this Nougat release.  Excellent.

I fully agree with this.
Give us a semi transparent notification as an option in Settings.

I really don't want to mess with rooting the phone because of this.

Hi,

There is no step counter sensor in the UMIDIGI Z, so a pedometer is very unlikely. I can't see any screen capture option, where is it hidden? Maybe these are features bundle with the Launcher that you are using. E.g. the ASUS ZENUI launcher provides App lock and hiding apps features.

Ever since I've upgraded to Android 7.1.1 Nougat, I am experiencing frequent app crashes. Here are two examples: Virtua Tennis Challenge crashes after some minutes while playing, and Gangsta 4 does not start at all. There are other app crashes as well. These apps runned WITHOUT ANY ISSUE on Android 6.0, so why these random crashes on Android 7.1.1? I hope you can resolve this in near update.

Uninstall and reinstall those apps, don't restore any backups saved in the Marshmallow system.
