Umidigi today state "the new update totally improved the camera performance".
Has anyone seen any improvement or am I just unlucky to have the only S2 with a very poor rear camera?

After this upgrade i saw a big difference! There still is a problem with the camera software which doesen't recognize automatically the ISO it must use.
Anyway using the pro mode will help having better results (except for the image stabilization, it must be improved).

I have made some tests.

This was a photo i took before the upgrade in automatic mode:

After the upgrade always in automatic:

and this in Pro mode:
https://drive.google.com/open?id ... CCxS0-nLQssJMsQAnCG

I have compared also this photo with one took with my Iphone 5c:

Is going to be acceptable, but improving camera software and image stabilization (i have to take 2-3 photos before getting a good one) is still needed.

Example photos provided to date are all fairly close to the object - within a couple of metres. I agree at that distance the Umidigi S2 camera performance is acceptable (the closer the better).  Results for distant objects are simply unacceptable and this really needs to be corrected - as well as the over exposure previously mentioned.
I attach a photo taken with my Smartwatch - The Zgpax S99C photo at about 1mg storage size compares quite well (or badly) https://drive.google.com/file/d/ ... UX/view?usp=sharing with the Umidigi S2 photo at 2.6mb.  https://drive.google.com/file/d/ ... X2/view?usp=sharing

The Camera is the worst part of the phone. I am very satisfied with the phone in general, but the camera is very bad. There is no difference between photos taken in VGA or 13 MP 16:9. Camera hardware is very good, but it seems not to be optimized. Please, do something.
