Caller ID pic is still not fixed. The camera still focuses over the shooting object.
All is just as bad.
I think someone should be fired and someone deprive premiums to some people suddenly ceased to spoil the company image.
And there has been a crashing silence on my request for info on the Magic Focus feature which is still be advertised.

I got my UMI Super week ago. After downloading latest FOTA and confirming installation wireless update app crashes. After phone restart I can see that download of FOTA file was 100% but it can not be instaled due to crashes of app. Any idea how to update the phone to latest rom beside flashing the phone?
My main observations regarding GPS and camera:
GPS - new phone out of the box with original plastic cover turned on for the first time got GPS fix in 6 seconds, reception of staelites in car while driving is also good. I noticed that about every 30 sec GPS data was lost for fraction of second and then in instant back on,as ther was some sort of "buffer" overflow every 30 sec betwen GSP receiver and phone and it has to be dumpded....I can say that GPS is working better than expected reading reports on forum...
Camera - yellow tint of the pictures taken outside is problem of poor auto white balance algorithm. If you set white balance manualy color tone of pictures taken is OK. I tried Open Camera apk and auto white balance works at least 50% better than stock camera apk. Camera has software problems, hardware is OK. Phone as it is isnt "fast" photo snaper. If you take little time an play with settings picture taken can be close to good.
Some suggestions:
PREVIOUS TOUCH SENSIVITY (important to make the phone enjoyable in usage again)
-Come back to touch sensivity like it was in previous FOTA versions. Now it's working too hard and using the phone is NOT nice. I can not really understand why it has changed while it was working perfectly. Completely no point for me.
MUSIC APP:
-INTRODUCE SORTING SONGS BY FOLDERS!
Serious problem is that we can not sort our songs by folders. In theory we can sort it by albums but it's not working properly because in song files usually needed informations aren't wrote and when you open the app you see just one big mix of every song. Very annoying to create playlist to get songs as you wish when sorting by folder can simply solve this problem.
-ADD PAUSE/PLAY OPTION WHILE PHONE IS LOCKED AND DON'T HIDE MUSIC BAR
When the phone is locked your only available options are: previous song, STOP and next song what means when you stop the music and want to turn on it again you can not do it without unlocking the phone because soundbar disappears. It's very annoying problem...
With other things i got weird bug while i was using outside music app (AIMP). I've started to listen music in my headphones and watching Facebook app. You know when you like posts the app is sending short sound and once i liked something Facebook's sound appears and the music (listened in AIMP) started to play either on headphones and phone speaker. I don't know if it's bug in AIMP app or it's problem with UMi's software but it would be very nice if you UMi guys take a look at these problems which i mentioned above.
as already pointed out before by many including myself. I have to bring up the touch sensitivity issue again. The touch sensitivity after the latest update IS a completed disaster! Every touch especially while using the keyboard has turned into a medium size nightmare since the touched key now must be visual verified if it actually went in.
With due respect to umi digi please fix THIS issue immediately. If you keep ignoring this problem you will have serious sales problems in short order. This is simply being reflected by quite a few unhappy comments within this forum relating to this issue.
Otherwise it IS a great piece of hardware. Speaking of hardware. In a related thread I came across a bizarre statement implying the current issues might be related to the device and could not be fixed by software. Have you any idea what you're actually saying? There is no such thing as 'cannot be fixed'!
I'm new to this forum, ive recieved the phone on friday.
I've tryed and everything was working great, the touch sensivity was great, until the last update...
So like all the users are writing, fix ASAP the
PREVIOUS TOUCH SENSIVITY (important to make the phone enjoyable in usage again) .
I also have the touch sensivity problem, therefore i tried the "touchscreen repair" by redpi apps from the play store, and it seems to have improved it.
i´m more pleased with the touch sensivity now.
there are several other apps to repair.. this was the first i tried... and like it...
It's no meaning that UMI use various Branded Grade components ie., Sharp, Panasonic, Sony, etc.,
but finally cannot fix problems that concern the many issues of their real users
