Hi There,
After a couple days searching i found the way how to go around the locked APN . The only way seen to work is try to find another sim card so you add the two sim cards in the slot. does not matter if the sim card is not active.
Insert the Sim card in the phone. If it’s a dual sim, put it in the second slot, and you don’t need to move the existing sim.
Restart the phone so that the sim card is recognised.
Go to APN via the Network & Internet -> Mobile Network -> Access point names
Now, there should be a plus+ sign, which will allow you to add a new APN, enter the correct details, and click Save.
Make sure you select the Radio Button for it too!
Now, take the second sim out, and reboot the phone, and it should be working. You may need to turn back on Mobile Data, and now it should be working fine.
Please let me now if it doesn’t, but I really imagine it will, as it seems to get around the restriction introduced by Android 8.1 on some of the lesser known brand phones, like my one. Now it's works great, and was well worth buying! Hope this helps you. |
