You are right in 100%. But knows many People here in Germany, they say Samsung is best phone, becouse is always on the last Android version bleble etc.
Yesterday I have shown there is a newer version on my "Chinese phone" and all have make VERY BIG EYES

What do You thing will Umi continue to work on the software for this phone?

It does not make sense to always have the latest technology.
Since the Galaxy S3 I have NFC. I've never used this function.

I think UMIDIGI will continue to work on the software.
At UMI Super some updates were necessary until it really worked without problems.
This will take time.
Who has no patience should buy a Samsung, LG, HTC, ...

On my old smartphones (Galxy S3 & S4) I have the latest software (Android 7.1.2 - LinageOS).
And it runs smoothly.

Until UMIDIGI reaches this, a lot of water will flow down the Neckar (River in southern Germany).

Becouse the last update for S7 (OTA) is 7.0. And as far I know Galaxy S3 and S4 is not more Support by Samsung

The onlyone what I think is good from Samung are the tablets.
Becouse they are very friendly to use and hold in one hand, for example Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 LTE, really great tablet, have try to find something same in china, till today haven´t find.

Samsung is actually very frugal with the updates.
I think with the S3 and S4 there were only 1-2 updates and at the latest after two years the support is stopped.
On the other hand, Samsung does not have so many updates, because the devices work from the beginning.
UMIGIDI does not make these updates to keep the devices up to date, but to correct the many bugs.

I own a Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) and have now also installed LineageOS.
It works really well and I am very happy.

Yes, this manipulation is not functional in my case. I can disable it, but nothing happens next. In the end, I deleted the apex launcher and I switched back to Launch 3 which is by default provided by Umi. And too bad for the bar, I found a weather app that is in the notification bar and that consumes nothing or almost.

I think it also depends on the versions of Z Pro that came out. I had the model with the 3 updates of fact, I had only to download the firmware of the 8 of April.

However, I found a bug in the management of MMS. I could not send pictures in mms, I am in France at Sosh (orange group) and I found the solution. Do the same with your providers if you have a problem :
Please note that if you are at Sosh and Orange and you have upgraded your Umi Z / Z Pro with android 7.1.1:
Once the phone has been updated, you may no longer be able to send mms with photos

The trick is:

Then test for sending and receiving a mms message with a picture (with a buddy for example).
