My Umi Iron Pro start getting 21 SAttelites as SIRF STart III militar GPS technology use to do! Inside home in a cloudy day, my gps now see 18 sattelites or more and use 16 or 17 of it in a few seconds, maybe more if i wait a few seconds more!!
My position in google maps is still jumping in a area of 500m. Navigation is not possible.
Today I opend my Umi Super. I checked the pins for GPS and bent is a little bit. But on the shell there is electric contact for 2 of 3 pins! There is only a electric contact for the middle pin (see attached pictures). Even on the GSM site there is only an electric contact for the middle pin. Is this like it should?
What can I do now??? Send it back from Germany to gearebest is for sure no option because I opened it already :-/

that is wrong, there must be 2 contacts for the GPS signal look at my picture.
I woeld writh to UMI support with picture and see what tey say. The UMI support will answere to you in 1-2 days ( that was the waiting time by me)
you also can put a peace of metall there and it will work, but it is a fail from UMI and it looks like sabotage from the worker to do that.
1. Speak to UMI with photo
2. If the answere is not good or it is to expensiv to send it back or someting else trie to repair it by yourself.
That is what I would do.

Hi Tino,
the two upper pins are for GPS/ Wifi. The third one has a small contact to the big antenna at the front Cover (lock at the 3rd pin, there is a small peace of mesh which has contact)

Okay. I understand. Question: are the 2 for GPS plus and minus? If I put a piece of metall there, what should that piece of matall connect? I can not see what it should touch. How about the GSM side? Do you have 2 conectors on the shell or only one?
