UMI Rome v3.04 official version by SP Flashtool

Needrom issued an "official" rom V. 3.05 . Is it coming from UMI and if yes when UMI will publish it ?

That user of needrom provides test versions, that not made for the public and may contain bugs and unneeded content. I don't recommend to install any of them. There is no timetable for ROM updates. The development is in progress countinuously.

\n\nAny changelog available? I'm gonna try 3.05 anyway, 3.04 wasn't workign for me so maybe this one will.
--3.05 is 100 mb lighter than 3.04...

Hi ar3k,

I recommend to you for waiting until v3.05 official will be released here. Last v3.04 published in needrom was installed by some users and they said that phone was unusable

Hello Angel,

I was one of these users. 3.04 was unusable for me too, constant reboots when screen went off.

I found solution here posted here, same thing can be found at xda. It's preety basic, Here's what i did and 3.04 worked well.
Install 3.03 next install with 3.04 with firmware upgrade option checked, And thats all.

2 days ago i upgraded 3.04 > 3.05 same way and phone works vey well.

The firmware upgrade option was my suggestion in this forum (many times already) but despite your successful story, I still don't recommend to install a firmware downloaded from a third party, since that can carry unexpected issues and malware.

No, it haven't yet been released officially. As I said earlier, I don't recommend to install the needrom release.

As Bencebacsi said,please don't install ROM released outside this official website. Differemt users installed v3.04 from needrom before was released here and had a lot of problems with their devices

Even flashing from 3.03 to 3.04 (via Rootjoy) causes my Umi Rome to reboot frequently when in sleep mode (screen off) :-(
