Design

The manufacturer presents us here his very smart smartphone, which was made from an aluminum Unibody and also comes in different colors. Even if the Z1 and the Z1 Pro are very similar, the design is probably the biggest difference of the two all-rounders . While the Z1 is equipped with a 5.5 inch Full HD display by SHARP, the Z1 Pro even gets an AMOLED display.

This results in differences in dimensions and weight. The Z1 weighs 175g with dimensions of 154 x 76 x 8.2 mm and the Z1 Pro is 148g slightly lighter and thinner. So it is with the dimensions 154 x 76 x 6.95 mm even 1.25 mm thinner than the Z1 and also thinner than the iPhone 7 Plus, from which it purely optically apparently a bit was popped up. The connectors are limited to a USB Type-C connector and a 3.5 mm jack connector.

UMIDIGI Z1 Pro Thin

Hardware

UMIDIGI relies on the most powerful processor that Mediatek currently has to offer: the MT6757 . This is an  eight-core processor with 2.3 GHz and is used in both models. This promises a higher performance and a 25% percent performance efficiency. The LPDDR4X memory is 6GB richly lumped and is supplemented by 64GB internal memory . The Z1 Pro is the thinnest smartphone with a large battery. For example, a 4000 mAh battery is used, which also supports Pump Express + . Pump Express +, by the way, is Mediatek’s version of Quickcharge technology.

Both models come with the identical dual-lens camera, which is composed of a 13MP and a 5MP sensor and should generally be more powerful and sharper than with previous models. The front camera, however, only comes with a 5MP camera. Compared to the Elephone P8 Mini , this value appears slightly small. To dazzling values or other information regarding the camera we have not experienced so far. Of course, can be filmed with the camera synonymous: 1080P, 2.4K and 4K should be no problem for the mobile phone.

Connectivity & Tools

Regarding the connectivity and other extras, the UMIDIGI Z1 seems to fulfill every wish. With LTE Band 20 , the most important feature is probably already clarified when it comes to the network connection. Both models have USB Type-C and a jack port, via WLAN 802.1 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and GLONASS . The device is equipped with a Smartphone, the Z1 or Z1 Pro, a Pump Express +  USB Type-C cable, the PE + Quickcharger, the SIM needle, a user manual, a transparent mobile phone case and a protective foil for the display.

The UMIDIGI Z1 and the UMIDIGI Z1 Pro will come on the market on the 26th of June 2017 and will be shipped from this day. While the Z1 comes with a starting price of $ 269.99 on the market , $ 299.99 will be due for the Z1 Pro. The Pro version will only appear in a limited number of 1000 pieces and will appear in the colors “Passion Red” and “Matte Black”. These colors are kept out of the normal version: the UMIDIGI Z1 comes optionally in “Prime Gray” or “Soft Gold”.

UMIDIGI has come up with  a special action: If you register on the action page with your e-mail address, you can reserve the smartphone and deduct $ 40 from the price, so you only have to pay $ 229.99, This action applies to the first 50,000 participants. In addition, there is also a small giveaway for five UMIDIGI Z1 on the site, which go to the price for $ 9.99 over the digital store counter.

A new benchmark for thin smartphones?

The first overall impression of the new UMIDIGI flagship smartphone is really positive. High-quality design, strong hardware, all sensible features and a reasonable price come to us in an open ear. The only mini-criticisms we would have, the hybrid SIM-map and the apparently somewhat weak front camera. Anyone who can ignore it will probably be able to enjoy a top smartphone.

A. What is your expected battery capacity?
   3. 6.95mm, 4000mAh

B. What is your expected RAM and ROM?
   2. 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM

C. What is your expected price for this thinnest flagship phone?
   $269

The battery capacity, thickness, RAM and ROM all are published on the model page.
The prevoius UMI models had issues, so I guess the people already know they shouldn't pay a lot for the brand. Also, I found an online store listing pre- orders for those Z1 PROs at around 270 something. Well, you're claiming only a thousand pieces would be made, but it seems like much more are probably already sold out, so I might give a second thought later on the price and lower it more.
