Hi

I have some questions about the Umi Super.

1. How much of the phone is metal?
1.A. Is it just the band around the side, or is the back cover metal aswell?
1.B If the back cover is metal, does that include the parts at the top and bottom ( http://imgur.com/MV3HDQQ )?
1.C. Are the buttons on the side metal or plastic?

2. When using the physical home button, are there capacitive navigation buttons (like the umi touch), or do you only have the home button?

3. Does the phone have 2 speakers on the bottom, or just one? ( http://imgur.com/Laj1GtO )

4. The specs say the phone has "Ram: 4GB SAMSUNG eMMC+LPDDR3". how much of the 4gb is eMMC and how much is lpddr3?
4.A are you using package 221FBGA?

Dear,Yes, the Umi Super has NFC and gyroscoop sensor.

NFC ?? It is still not listed in the 'updated' specs on the UMI site. So for me it is still very much unclear if the Super has NFC....

Are you sure?

The Touch also was presented as full CNC metal but the back upper and lower bands are plastic and that is visible in color and texture difference and deminishes any premium kind of looks unfortunately. In the Touch renders this appears to be not the case but the real product is not as refined on the back. SO that makes me wonder if I should cancel my Super order or not?

Yeah, the plastic on the Touch was disapointing.

To be fair to umi though, it was advertized as using plastic around the antenna area. However, from the photos and everything i'd read about it, i thought they ment that only the two seams were plastic rather than the entire end-caps.

It's a shame, since you end up almost constantly touching plastic, which cheapened what was otherwise an excellent phone.  Sadly mine had a defect so had to go back, so i was considering whether it was worth upgrading to a super, or just getting a replacement touch.

Dear users,

I'm trying to answer the above questions as I can.
1. The center back cover, the frame and the buttons are made of metal. The top and bottom parts of the back cover must be made of plastic to let the antennas to be effective. I guess you'd me more disappointed if your new phone would have an exquisite appearance but useless anyway. Not even the very expensive iPhone 6s Plus is different.

2. There are capacitive navigation buttons beside the also capacitive home button.
3. There's only one loudspeaker (as usually) at the bottom. Two identical speakers so close to each other could produce unwanted distortion and echo while making a call in loudspeaker mode.
4. The data elements are mixed up here. I requested the site administrator to correct it. The correct data is
RAM: 4GB LPDDR3
ROM: 32GB eMMC
LPDDR3 is a RAM technology, eMMC is a fllash memory (ROM) technology.
5. There's an auxiliary (noise canceling) microphone on the top back.
6. Gyroscope and magnetic field sensors are present, so VR applications/devices are supported.
7. No NFC support.

I orded a super to day via tomtop eBay for the best price on eBay i sold my 1 Month Old Touch to my friend hopefull this one is better.

Is this device support to Different roms like umi touch. have plan to develop Windows or MIUI for this ?
