TWRP Installation

\n\nI haven't tried booting into recovery with buttons, I do it from Rasher (or Flashify), because some people have had problems with that. No problem whatsoever to flash SuperSU (at least version 2.52). Cache and Dalvik Cache cleaning also work properly.

If you asked me, I did not (risk to) try installing CM.I'm not desperately seeking for CM :}, but  ...

What I tried did work:
- Installation via Flashify works.
- I can now boot into recovery by pressing Vol+ and Power.
- I tried Backup and that seems to work too.
- Installing SuperSu works

I haven't tried installing CM.

You should first unroot your phone with iRoot, uninstall the Chinese bloatware, then install the SuperSU from recovery again.

Ok, thanks, it worked. Let me repeat the whole procedure:

- Enable USB debugging
- Connect phone to PC by USB
- Install and run iRoot PC, take Root, grant it all Permissions it asks for on the phone
- Upon automatically rebooting, phone will be Rooted, check it by Root Checker app from Play Store
- Downoad "TWRP 2.8.7.0.img" Lohitzune has provided in this thread, post 36# and "SuperSU-v2.56-20151030013730.zip' Bencebacsi has  provided in "eMax Mini Unbrick + TWRP + Root" thread
- Install Flashify apk from Play Store, grant ir Root access, take Flash Recovery and select "TWRP 2.8.7.0.img"
- Upon done, reboot and connect the phone again to PC by USB, run iRoot PC again, this time do Unroot
- Power the phone off, press Volum Up together with Power button, it will boot into the installed TWRP
- Take Install, navigate to and select "SuperSU-v2.56-20151030013730.zip' and Swipe, take also Clean Dalwik Cache
- When rebooting, it will show Upgrading, Optimising apps
- When done, start SuperSU and allow it to Update Binaries (select Normal option)
- Phone is now rooted again, but this time by SuperSU, and KingRoot that was installed above by iRoot PC must be gone
- Check if phone is indeed rooted by Root Checker, you must grant it Root Permissions again, now from SuperSU
- Remove bloatware leftover apps that were installed by iRoot


Result:
Phone is rooted by SuperSU and TWRP Recovery is installed.


Note:
Lohitzune's "TWRP 2.8.7.0.img" is bigger than "iroot_twrp_recovery_emaxmini_15110412.img" as provided by Bencebacsi in the "eMax Mini Unbrick + TWRP + Root" thread (32 vs 22 MB).
I don't know what is different between them but "TWRP 2.8.7.0" works for me, as it was also confirmed by Lohitzune and Arya5 in this thread.

Ok, thanks, it worked. Let me repeat the whole procedure:

Lohitzune has provided a backup (a clone in fact) of the recovery partition of his phone and the size of the recovery partition is 32GB at eMAX Mini. Of course, the recovery data doesn't fill the whole place, so that backup file contains a lot of empty data at the end. That even can be cut off with a hex editor and the image still can work. The twrp image provided by me (and created by iRoot) contains the useful data only, not the image of the whole partition, so that's smaller.
Anyway, that has been discovered, fastboot commands can be used on emax mini, so the twrp recovery image can be flashed by simply a fastboot command, you don't need that complicated root/unroot etc. procedure.

Getting back to this phone and topic after two years. I've rooted the phone agin (flashing TWRP via fastboot, then SuperSU from TWRP), AdAway and Xposed (GravityBox and YoutubeBackground)

Finally, installed also Viper4Android:
- BusyBox by JRummy, from Google Play
- ViPER4Android_2.5.0.5_guitardedhero.zip from http://downloadmirror.co/2zYA/Vi ... 5_guitardedhero.zip
(install from TWRP)

Clean Cache and Dalvik, reboot, open V4A, let it update the drivers and reboot.
Open V4A again, choose e.g.Phone Speakers, enable Master switch and configure the tweaks.

Play Music, make sure that V4A Driver Status shows Supported and Processing, enjoy
