I didn't faced any of your problems. It's the best working version right now.
I can't see more strange effects after OTA with Umidigi as with other brands i'm using or used in past (LG, Samsung, Sony, Nexus by LG, ...). Hardware, driver, software - All components together are a complex system. Much more complex if data must survive update. With a clean flash you'll get always the best performance.
I work as a developer so i know on development stage (with such a complex environment) you may grab 80 % of all bugs. Yeah, it's possible to kill more. But for the next 5 % you'll need the same time and money as for the 80 % before. You choosed Umidigi, because it's low-priced, didn't you?
Btw Umidigi delivered in 3 month more updates as my LG G4 old flagship till today.
Don't complain that there is a tool to solve software/configuration related problems after update. This is officially here! Using other brands you must send your mobile to support or grab the software somewhere in internet.
Yes, Umidigi has many problems:
- quality of hardware (eq swelling batteries)
- quality of assembly (eg dust between camera lens and glass)
- quality of inspection (eg gyroscope bug on shipped mobiles)
- own software/functions don't fit in stock (eg "long press home" is impossible)
- to much marketing praise - you could expect much more than you get (eg top tier camera, but a few years old sensor which is only used in mid-to-low range mobiles)
- Helio X27 is a flagship (now X30 is coming), but eg it's using PE+ neither PE+ 2 nor PE+ 3,...
- supportstructure via dealer seems a problem rigth now
Just stay fair. Look at the whole thing. And remember that no one here is responsible for your problems. The moderators aren't employees of Umidigi.
