I think no one known. Maybe when someone return phone to umi, they can find  solution of this prob ...

I ordered it in India. The problem being it will take lot of time and money to resend it.

Umi only sells over the internet... So what would be the solution according to you? Not buying any Umi phones at all anymore?

Edited by martijns at 2016-7-12 04:50 \n\n Edited by martijns at 2016-7-12 04:24 \n\nOk, so I'm affraid that I have a display with a new variation of the problem mentioned in this post. First few weeks, it was all ok. But now I got this: A thin line with the same shape as the big spot as shown earlier in this topic.
@UMI support: what am I supposed to do with this?

Wow.. I'm no tech wizzkid but I think this is hardware failure.
I guess my issue can still be related to glue marks or something like that.

I think you should contact your seller and ask for a refund /replacement.

Again the same screen problem, is the second UMI I have, unfortunately. I will send it to the dealer. Fortunately I came upon a serious dealer , and gave me the best service to the problem. Happy shopping people forum . (Burned screen )

I'm facing the same problem. I think is some kind of glue causing it, infact when the screen goes hot (like reproducing 1080p video for some time) the issue disappears to return when it'll be cold again. I can see it with pixeltest app on dark grey color:
