Dear, there are two methods to flash your phone one is using the SP flash tool, another one is flashing by rootjoy tool. Both these two methods are official, the rootjoy tool could be more simple and convient. But if you can't power on yur phone, you can only flash your phone by SP flash tool.

Hallo Angel,
I followed your advice and installed 3.04 ROM with SPFTool, and finally succeeded! At last the phone behaves properly! Probably the key of the success was that earlier the official 3.03 version was flashed. I suspect that a brand new phone was sold with some kind of  flaw in it"s software; but I'm not an android expert, I can't say it for sure. Anyway, thank you for support, have a good day!

well i installed the 3.04 via flashtool and wipe cache and reset but always the prob of the phone rebooting after 1 min screen off.

If after flashing v3.04 by flashtool, your phone continue being hang after 1 minute of screen off and you have to reboot it to solve the problem, then probably we are talking about a defective problem in your device. If phone is in warranty, you should contact with your reseller and apply this warranty

no i mean when my phone is in stand by mode with screen off, after 1 min phone reboot by itself... and i never have this prob with the 3.01 Rom and now with the 3.03 rom... so i don't think its a phone prob.

Can you try something?

There was an user who had a problem even installing v3.04 by flashtool. Then decided to downgrade to v3.03 and was working fine. Then I suggested to flash again v3.04 by flashtool following instructions I published here on this thread and user confirmed that all was working fine.

Could you try to flash v3.04 now that with 3.03 is working fine?

Follow these steps:

New v3.04 has been released for UMI Rome. You can find it in ROM section

UMI Rome v3.04 SPFT version

Here you can see basic steps for flashing v3.04 in your ROME:

These steps are indicated to apply in a clean computer without drivers. If you already has drivers installed and Flashtool is working fine, go directly to point 4:

Yes, I downgraded to  3.03 via Rootjoy, the phone was OK, then I flashed  3.04 via SPFTool with SD card removed. So far so good, my phone works flawlessly.

Flashed by both SPFT and Root joy,  I faced random reboot often ... probably very often.  Even wipe data and install ony somecsoftware .Temperature seem higher in normal use.
Now back to 3.03 via Root joy and no  random reboot from few hours.

thx for reply.. ok i will try and i suppose at step 6 i choose "firmware update" and not "Download Only"?
