Rome v3.04 ROM - SPFT version

Hi:
I'm relatively new to UMi and have a ROME which I have updated to V3.03.  I am interested in doing further updates and note that V3.04 has an "official" version available and V3.05 has been mentioned in a couple of places.  I have a couple of quick questions:

1.  What is the best way to search the Forum for specific topics or authors?
2.  How do I display the date/time for each forum post.  Only replies seem to be timestamped. I'd like to be able to list and follow comments and replies in time sequence so I understand other users' experiences before I do my own updates.

It's safe if you pay with paypal but in that case you'll be charged with an additional (almost) $7 USD fee, so finally you won't get the cheapest offer.

Hi,

1. You can start a quick search by inputting text in the searchbox and clicking on the magnifier button at the upper left corner of the site screen. You can initiate an advanced (customizable) search by just clicking on the magnifier button without adding text. You only can search for topic titles, not in the body of the threads and for users. The development of a completely new forum engine (hopefully) with better features is in progress.
2. Actually you can see the date/time of both of the original posts and the last comments together in two lines if you're in the list of threads of a subforum.

I suggest you to install only official firmware updates. They can be provided by OTA, in the Rootjoy app or in the ROM section of this forum, depending on your specific model.

That's even simpler to initiate a purchase, so you can see that paypal is a possible option as you can see that too, choosing paypal will cause an additional about $7 USD charge that you have to pay for your safety.

Yes, this one here is an official release but you can't install it with Rootjoy, since this is a flash tool format ROM update. you can download Rootjoy compatible ROMs with Rootjoy.

Many thanks for your reply.  Very helpful.

As a follow-up, I have downloaded the V3.04 update and am curious as to the best approach to flash the update.  As I recall, when I updated to V3.03 using the SP Flash Tool, following the usual steps, I needed to re-configure my homescreen settings and I think I may have needed to reinstal some of the software and network settings.  Is there a reliable way to backup my Rome's software and configuration settings so that they can be preserved or restored easily after the ROM update?

Also, do you know if/when Android 6 will be available for the Rome?
