\n\nI ' ve bricked my UMI Iron by mistake , same problem related here ...
Solved :
- make sure battery  is fully charged
- remove the metal back cover
- install SP Flash Tools (last version)
- install "MTK_USB_ADB_Ultimate"
- run as admin SP Flash Tools
- place the phone display down and connect usb to PC
- nothing happend .... so carefully disconnect and reconnect the battery
- wait a few seconds and "voila" UMI is recognized , SP Flash starts and the phone is back in use ,
or for making most sure :
- don't make it on Windows 10 it won't work
- disable any protection software (firewall , antivirus &antispyware )
- install USBDEVIEW and uninstall any drivers refering to UMI Iron ,
- download "Y900_UMI_V1.4_20150731_1245(zip format)" from "http://www.needrom.com/download/umi-iron/"  , thanks to s7yler
- unzip "Y900_UMI_V1.4_20150731_1245"
- install Umi drivers from "All Ultimate MTK USB Driver/ All MTK Drivers /New inst. win 7&8x64 "
- install SP Flash Tools (latest version) and run as admin
- in SP Flash Tools select "MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin" from SPFTools folder and "MT6753_Android_scatter" from "Y900_UMI_V1.4_20150731_1245" folder
- power off the phone
- click on "Download"
- press on "volume down " and keep it pressed in the mean time connect phone usb to PC
- wait for installation of "DA USB VCOM PORT"
- in short time installation will begin , you will see all progress of software installation
- restart the phone and install stock vs 1.5 via OTA or download it from  "http://www.needrom.com/download/umi-iron/"  and recover it as update.zip
- upgrade to vs.1.6 via ROOTJOY
