UMI PLUS E - Camera undetected problem after FOTA V3.0

Hi guys,

Actually I gave up, contact UMI for replacement. But before I shipped the phone, I gave it another shot. Surprise. The camera works with any camera app from google play. I basically didn't do anything since the last flash. I just played games. But the umi plus e native camera app still doesn't appear in the home page or app page. So my advice is try to flash it and download all update. Then just use it as much as you can for several days. Also download camera testing app. Do daily check. I will try factory reset again to see if any problem come back.

so i think that before the next updated rom  umi must check the camera and flash light apk.

Today i install via manual ota the last version for one more time.When the phone starts, i  opened the camera and took some photos.

but when i opened the camera again, i faced the same problem.Please, UMI developers check the camera before the release of new rom.

I have one more question. If I do hard reset with the procedure (reboot, press vol. down, and into the Chinese menu choose the emmc) the phone will be reset to the first day I bought it (with the first rom)? or with the last rom I've update it?

strange things happened! I thought to turn off the phone. I've turned on and immediately opened the camera and works about 30sec. I did it again and works too. The third time I made it, the camera does not face any problem till now! everything works fine. p.s:i watch a video on youtube about umi plus e and on comments someone write that he faced a camera problem because of tempered glass. I don't know what problem he faced. I sent to him a message and I hope for reply because I have a tempered glass on my phone.

Yeah. The problem surfaced again yesterday but after I restart it was solved. Just turn it off for some moments before turn it on.

Hello, have you installed the latest update? If not then just update it. Try to use your mobile such as playing games. Then turn it off and wait some moments before turn it on. In my case, I ignored the problem and use it for one week before restart it and it works.

Thanks for reply, I had the last update and yesterday I did SP Flash Tool of the V3.02_20170216 (Android 6.0.1) firmware for UMIDIGI Plus E
Keep saying "Camera can't connect..." or " camera isn't responding..."
I cannot see if this is a hardware or software problem because I have the phone less than a week and I did update before use the features :/
I don't understand why they don't release a fix for this quickly. This is a very annoying problem IMO
