Preinstalled Adware?

Ok this really sucks, if the adware is basically part of the core system and cannot be changed. I wonder if this applies to other UMI products as well?

The possibility to use Cyanogenmod would be great, but I doubt that this will happen :-(

@ernest: unfortunately UMI could not really provide me with any kind of solution to the touch driver problem in the end, they just referred me to the latest ROM :-/ So I am basically where I started off. I wonder how they got the initial ROM/drivers on the phone in the first place and why they cannot just provide me that...

mentions Adups, which is something I for sure deleted at some point.
on a side note, its been a few weeks that I dont receive ads anymore - far from being resolved, they probably just turned off it.

Someone has managed to solve the problem of advertising.
It really is very annoying and it comes out more frequently

\n\nI can confirm that solution Chundoundo suggested is working for me. I rooted the phone, blocked SystemUIs and Launchers internet access using Droidwall app (as removing them would render your phone unusable), and deleted other infected apps (using file manager).

(When booting, Droidwall takes some time to start up and start blocking inernet access for SystemUI and Launcher, so you can see one ad after first reboot, but i havent seen any ads since, nor has it installed any apps by itself.)

У меня та же ситуация: САМОСТОЯТЕЛЬНО ЗАГРУЖАЮТСЯ ПРИЛОЖЕНИЯ (которые мне НЕ НУЖНЫ), ВСПЛЫВАЮТ РЕКЛАМНЫЕ ОКНА. ОНИ БЛОКИРУЮТ РАБОТУ ТЕЛЕФОНА.
ЭТО МЕШАЕТ ПОЛЬЗОВАТЬСЯ ТЕЛЕФОНОМ.
КАК РЕШИТЬ ЭТУ ПРОБЛЕМУ???
(В сервисный центр телефон отдавала, помогло на 1 месяц, потом опять все то же самое началось. Все приложения я уже удалила, ничего кроме телефонной книги и смс на телефоне нет.)
