Last FOTA update can not be installed

Had to remove SD Card and then FOGET IT (lost all on SD Card).  Installed update OK.  Reinstalled SD Card and formatted as internal,  took a long time.  Rebooted took a very long time!  Then everything seems to be OK.

That's enough to just unmount (Eject) the SD card before starting the update process, then (after finishing the update process) you can mount it again and everything will remain stayed.The whole process needs just a few minutes.

Hi, not from my side.
OTA update started to download and then stopped at 28%. Every time I selected "retry" the app crashed.
So I deleted the already downloaded file and tried again to check for update........now the app crash continously as soon I start to search for an update...

I had to do indeed a factory reset. Then the update installed quickly as it is quite small (17.49 MB).

Now the lengthy process of reinstalling and configuring everything and installing work MobileIron with encryption starts all over. It works but I hope we do not have to do this facory reset everytime a new ROM comes out....

No thorough findings yet apart from:
- little more 4G signal strength.
- I already achieved great standby time by using DS Batterysaver pro, so i may keep using it.
- Fingerprint also appears little better after first tests.
- Screen appears little more responsive as well

Looks promising but I need to do some more extensive testing though.

\n\nStill struggling here, originally had no SD card when OTA was first notified, tried removing SIM2 and installing SDcard, since tried ejecting SD as suggested, I still get
Note the times on the two screenshots.
I guess I'll have to backup, reset and try again.

OK SUCCESS WITHOUT FULL WIPE!!!!

Noted here: http://community.umidigi.com/for ... 27&fromuid=4206 suggestion that perhaps Cache was corrupt so (thanks! BB), booted to recovery, cleared cache, rebooted tried update got to the recovery screen and failed with notification about corrupt zip fle so rebooted again, unmounted SD card and SUCCESS (well, currently updating, looking good).

Just found wiping cache (from recovery) worked for me so managed to avoid full reset - hopefully that might work for others.

How do you wipe cache?? In bootloader I only see chinese signs

That's not the bootloader but the factory mode. You can start the bootloader by powering on your phone while pressing down the volume up button. You can move in the bootloader menu with the vol up button and select an item with the vol down button.
