I don't have a Rome in hand to check this situation but I asked a UMI representative to make tests.

I just received a screenshot from Jojo (UMI representative in this forum), that proves that the GPS module works well on a UMI Rome with installed v3.05 update.So, it's not a software issue at you.

mine work faster a the beginning (with and without agps ) but now never fix satellites.
i will forget this function , so sorry because good screen for that.
no problem with others functions.

No idea how can phone be damaged during update process. Everything was ok and then GPS sees satelite ...

Theoretically some sensitive contents of the software can be damaged by a wrong partition structure in the scatter file or by over sized partitions, that can overwrite a part of the content of the next partition. That's just a theory and I can't verify it without a Rome in hand.

Hi:

I've been checking Rootjoy and I haven't seen the Official 3.05 version of the Rome ROM posted there yet.  Is there any idea of the timing when that might be posted?
