On my UMI Touch all the GPS, WiFi and 3G/4G functions work perfectly stable, so we can lock out a possible software issue if you run the latest version on your phone or that would affect all devices.
Since I see that the groups of users with GPS, WiFi or 3G/4G connection issues are somewhat overlapped, all of these problems might be caused by the loose fixation of the antenna panel. I disassembled my phone and although I hadn't have any connection issues before, the screws of the antenna panel were not perfectly tightened. If those screws in your phone are more loose, that can cause connection problems together with high battery drain of the radio devices. So, such phones should be checked by a repairman.

Maybe the PCB pins need to be adjusted.

Very interresting lead... I have a question although. Most of the time as far as i am concerned when wifi stop working, the wifi indicator is still on with the same strength of signal. If this is due to the antenna, should not the the wifi turn off or drop in intensity ?

Edited by The_Mazman at 2016-5-4 22:48 \n\nHello all,

The problem is only when you connect to an open wifi acces or a wifi with only WEP security.

I change at my home from WEP to WPA2 security and now its stable !!! try it out !! this works great
but when i connect to another wifi acces point with wep security then it drops again and again. hope that this will fix in the next update

I tried to tighten the screws but it didn't work at all. Nothing has changed.
