Hi Thunderbid

The thing is that phone detect usb connection but only for charge. Let me check what can be happening.

Meanwhile, did you tried to connect phone to another computer to check if same happens?

I've tried several different computers , USB cabels and even chargers.
Nothing helps. It does not want even to charge if I do not go to the MTK Engeneering mode and make some tests on the USB - then starts charging, but still no connection for data transfer to the PC.

Hi All,
I just found you as my phone started to produce the same issue, only charging if switched off.
I'm using the original cable which was working fine for 3 month and still works fine but only after turning the phone off, I have tried with after market cables and adapter and got the same result.
The fact that phone charges while shoot off gives me the impression that error is not hardware but software based. I haven't made any changes in setting lately.
Please let me know if you did succeed to get issue resolved somehow.

Hi Angel Umi,

I had the same problem as Iphhilimore and did download MTK engeneer after I saw your post.
I followed the steps  and got to the result of UART not supported.
Befor giving up i went to log and debugging section and clicked battery log and started a battery info record.
After few seconds the phone strated to charge again.
For the moment it does look fine.
