My opinion for what I see is respected but not heard ...

The screen wake-up can be enabled or not. Since much more users requested it to be present (and since we can't add a notification LED for obvious reasons), we decided to enable it.
In 'Do not disturb' mode you can turn off the screen wake-up while keeping the alarm still enabled, so that's a useful solution if you want your phone to wake you up but don't want to be disturbed by incoming message while sleeping. You also can select total silence.
1. Turn on 'Do not disturb' either in the top shortcut menu or by pressing the volume-down button.
2. Open its settings from the top of the Settings menu or from the top shortcut menu.
3. Select MORE SETTINGS, then 'Block visual disturbances'.
4. Enable 'Block when screen is off'.

Well, thanks for the answer.
I tried installing Pie GSI but UI was crashing constantly (assume it was the systemui as top bar and navbar disappeared repeatedly) so if it wont get Pie if possible could you make it more compatible? Saw it's possible with a little vendor changes.
Although I'm disappointed that it won't get Android Pie, this phone is very nice and cheap. Will surely look forward into future umidigi smartphones. (really wanted that good looking and cheap A3 model but then i saw it doesn't have USB-C and Fast Charge )

Are we talking about the same? I mean that the screen is turned on before any notification (and I do not mean exclusively to whatsapp msg or other alerts). But to the smallest system notification.

For example: I have open web whatsapp, phone screen turned off, no msg arrives and I position myself on the browser window on the pc that has whatsapp already logged in and the screen of the phone turns on

The DO NOT DISTURB isnt the solution. Do Not Disturb turns off notification sounds, vibration, etc. We want a specific button to turn off the wake up thing. If this isnt solved, I think I will send the phone back to Amazon. I hope a solution comes soon.

I think the solution will be for someone to do some custom rom, because umidigi for what I see is not doing things very well in the last two OTA's

no one wants that "do not disturb"workaround.

proper fix is to GIVE PEOPLE AN OPTION to TURN OFF SCREEN WAKE for notification.

did you finally get that thru your thick skull?

I'm with the ota V1.0_20180601 and the same thing happens. Detect that app as malware

Then we have com.swfp.factory that one should know what it is .....

I am root and I deleted them just in case ...
