So I have the 20180914 ROM installed.
I tried updating the "UMIDIGI_Z2_PRO_V1.0_20180823_20180926-1646-2_update.zip <<<<< It can update version 20180823_20180914 only", but after a couple of minutes it comes up with an error and then restarts the phone.
I used the "Manual (local) OTA update method instructions".

Wireless update didn't show the newset version...and I can't update my firew ...

Fallow the steps.  Once your phone is off and connected to the PC, click on download, then press power bottom and volume up (like you do to enter in to recovery mode) you will see a red stripe on the sofa and the download will start.

If you choose the local (not recovery) update, better to copy the update file to the internal memory, not to the SD card (if you have). If your phone is rooted or have a custom recovery installed, OTA updates cannot work.

The fact that your phone is 4G capable doesn't mean that, it will always connect at 4G speed. I do ...

GearBest --> Myhome --> Setup, At that time(Initialy)(4G+4G)..Delight.  Check: b19 only area, result:4G+4G.
After SecurityLock Update, noticed (4G+3G)..Oh?
Check: b19 only area, result:not connected..Shock.
Two sim's carrier are the same carrier.
Ah,Almost same Spec(Band) phone(Vivo) is ,4G+4G.
Check: b19 only area, result:4G+4G.

Edited by docsnyder_12345 at 2018-9-29 15:19 \n\nAt least some answers, thanks for that.

About Wireless Charging, i use Ampere to measure the current Charging Power, with Cable i get up to 3800mA with 4,2V so roughly 16W Charging Power, thats fine with me as its close enough to the 18W advertised.
With Wireless Charging however its never more than 700mA with 4,2V so not even the 5W. That isnt even enough to hold the current Charge while doing Navigation in the Car for example.
And yes, i measured that with different Chargers that are capable of at least 10W and rebooted the Phone several Times (especially the Q1 from Umidigi which should support 15W) and of course in the Sweet Spot for Charging with the Phone at around 50% Battery left.
Any Idea about that whether its Hardware related or fixable with Updates?

About Wir ...

Am I wrong in thinking the fast charger delivers current in response to the state of the battery?  As such the maximum output should only occur when the battery needs the most charge, say near 0%.

Do you expect the maximum rated output of the charger, be it wireless and wired, take place at any time regardless of the state of the battery, say as 50% quoted by you?

At some stages of the charging I expect you could get can get more current from a normal fixed output wireless charger as it has no intelligence to vary the voltage or current delivery.

I have not measured the voltage or current of the UMI Q1 but I would hate to see it charging the phone at the rated 15W output when the battery is already 100%.  The charger does not switch off when the phone is fully charged.

As i stated, the sweet Spot for those kind of Batteries is in the range of 20-70%, so as the wired Charger put the ~16W with the Phone at about 50% its right in that range and the wireless should be too.
Of course it regulates at 80-90% and lowers the Output to extend the Battery Life, the Stuff you said is already put into consideration. same goes for the 0%, it doesnt put full power there too.

The phone is not rooted or have a custom recovery.  I followed the instructions.  The file is copied to internal memory and local was chosen so I can see the file.  It's the same process I used to update to 20180914 ROM.
