I've had my Z2 Pro for two days and was locked out of it today for an hour due to the Pin problem. To make matters worse, no matter what I tried I couldn't get it into recovery mode, only what seemed to be some factory test mode. Looks like it'll be going back to Gearbest for a refund as I don't want another phone that randomly locks me out.

I left a negative review on Gearbest and my review seems to have vanished, maybe others on here having problems could leave reviews on Gearbest and see what happens. More pressure on Gearbest I would hope puts more pressure on Umidigi to fix the issues.

With or without reviews, Umidigi is bound to fix the screen lock issue as it's a deal breaker. I'm confident a new ROM will appear before the end of the week.

Let's hope so. If they acknowledged the issues and gave an indication of when a new ROM would be likely it would be a step in the right direction. I cannot believe that the Z2 Pro, their new flagship, has been released in its current format.

I am going to give it until the end of the week and go from there.

Just a question for any other users that can help. Will this new ROM be an auto-update (FOTA?), or will a Z2 owner need to go through a technical process to install. If it is quite technical, the having an experienced user post how this will be achieved will be useful. It is a shame that such a good spec phone is blighted by these issues, no doubt caused by a lack of QA.

I noticed that my live cctv view (wifi connected) is not sharp and a significantly blurry. That goes along with the rear camera resolution too. The camera is now focusing but the resolution is so blurred (only for the rear camera). Anyone here experiences the same issue and comes up with solution. And anyone here cares to share the link to download TWRP recovery tool is very much appreciated. Thanks

Usually, this kind of sharing is done in its own thread, which I'm now allowed for now. Please note that I could not test it yet. I ordered the Z2 Pro yesterday and will get it in 1 month right from China. Yet, it's not my first built TWRP recovery image.

TWRP is a custom touch driven recovery. It allows to backup partitions restore partitions, wipe cache/data, install updates, root your device and much more. All these with your finger. Concerning backup/restore, the NVRAM partition is the most interesting one to backup, for itchy geeks who may brick their phone very badly.

It must be flashed using SPFT, or using fastboot eventually.
