You might try to recover your IMEI numbers with Mediatek's SN Writer Tool. That also works in meta mode and changes data in the NVRAM. You can download it and read a guide HERE. I also recommend to watch THIS VIDEO carefully.
You need the SPFT version of the stock firmware to load the database files. You might need to remove the battery and connect your phone with pressing the vol-down button. Unfortunately, this app fails at me with battery inside but I don't want to disassemble my phone just for testing. Once I get test devices from UMI, I'll be able to provide better and tested solutions here.
Since i have updated my Umi Iron to 1.7, I have lost my IMEI number. Where can I find the IM ...
Hi,
The first question is that: How could you manage that? Did you format the flash memory of your phone? Anyway, there's a label on the back of the packing box of your phone with the IMEI numbers.
Don't do that next time. Choose 'Download Only' or 'Firmware Upgrade'
If the box label is missing, at least you should have had a sticker on the back of your phone when you unboxed it.
****edit ****managed to sort it using the SN tool and autogenerate
right I've made the same mistake as a few and wiped mt IMEI numbers. Thanks to everyone for all the tips I think I now know how to fix the issue but there is just 1 small hurdle in the way .........
I dont have a copy of my IMEI, I've long since removed the stick from the back of the phone nad 2 weeks ago threw the bax away thinking 'i've had the box 6 months and the phone is fine'
is there any way to generate a new IMEI or find the serial number so I can generate one useing the tools provided in other posts?
