I see the ulefone is shipping with Android 7.1 but I can only find Android 6 stock rom?

YEs, I just did, and in fact it works.  of course I have some issues but it is just due to me, trying to downgrade, flash a completely alien rom, but also keep userdata, so implicitly I'm locked out of the lock screen, but the recovery hardware tests checked out. one by one. :O lol

And Indeed, I can confirm that the rom works perhaps fllawlessly. It just needs full format with the sp flash, and in the process the imei is gone, which I'm going to set up again right now. BEsides that I'm very surprised. Supposedly the os is of the same kind, pure aosp, minimal and light, however the one from ulephone even though beta,  three months old, and not even officially released, is perhaps, no joke, a million times better and more polished. that much, where I'm not even sure that I will be going to nougat if and when it becomes available.
If someone needs more detail, ask me, and I'll try to post some screens when I find some time.

I did a full format and installed again the Gemini pro rom. Everything looks much better but I stil have the lockscreen issue. Sometimes I unlock and see the normal screen. Some other times a black or white screen and so i need to lock and unlock again until normal screen comes. Only problem so far detected on Gemini Pro ROM.

Where do Ulefone stand on the issue of releasing the source and custom ROMs? I'm sure I've seen ulefone ROMs on XDA in the past.
