Edited by saikee at 2018-9-30 18:53 \n\nI have been using Q1 wireless charger for about a week and here is a short/quick test
Time Charge state
10:35 59%
10:53 70%
11:08 86%
11:49 99%
To me the Q1 does fast charging with the UMI own factory USB cable and the fast charger transformer. If other users have problem with Q1 may be they should consider using the USB cable and the main transformer that come with the phone.
I was intrigued by the temperature complaints saying it could be very hot. How hot is very hot? So I throw a temperature sensor from an aquarium temperature gauge, with 0.1C accuracy, between the phone and the flip case cover. I got 35.3C. Is this very hot? Normal electronic components are supposed to be able to withstand 70-80C and Q1 temperature would be freezing by the normal CPU temperature standard. When I open the flip case cover leaving the temperature proble exposed the temperature dropped to 30.3C when the phone reached 99% charged.
My experience with Q1 is that first time I did feel the device hot but not as severe as my Vernee Apollo Lte doing Sat Nav while being on charge with s standard 5VDC USB supply. I could not touch my Vernee phone but it would be fair to say the sun didn't help either when I was driving 300 miles in a hot sunny summer day.
The Q1 also needs a certain position with the Z2 pro in order to deliver a stable charge. I normally need to check if its blue light, indicating normal charging, is still after 10 min if I leave it alone. After that the blue light could stay on in the morning when the phone gets 100% charged.
If the phone is charged overnight to 100% both the Q1 and the phone is warm but not hot. I always charge the phone with its flip case which does not appear to interfere with the Q1 operation. |
