The first time I’ve heard about a Chinese smartphone company UMI, honestly, it doesn’t ring a bell to me. However, when I was browsing smartphones through www.gizmochina.com, I came across a review about UMI Touch and I was surprised that it’s-not-your-ordinary-smartphone. So this is where I started to read reviews about UMI Touch.
I’ve had no any experience in using any smartphones made by UMI. But it caught my very interest especially the big pack 4000 mah battery. It has 13-15 days standby time. It’s the first thing that always catch my interest. I’ve had enough of smartphones like Samsung, offering a 2,500 mah battery. It’s like I’m just wasting my money.
Second, the 3 GB Ram of UMI Touch. Smartphones here in my country typically sport a 2GB ram. In my personal experience, 2 GB of Ram doesn’t satisfy my needs knowing that I’m a heavy gamer. It always crashes and it annoys me. The speedtest also went well, beating its competitors in its category. The UMI Touch with 3 GB of Ram performs the job well in the review I’ve watched.
Third, the fingerprint sensor. There’s a review showing that UMI Touch’s fingerprint scanner unlocks 100 times, and accurately. It only takes 0.15 seconds to unlock this smartphone. And this makes me WOW, makes me wanted to buy this unit.
Fourth, the custom ROM/UI of UMI Touch. It’s very user friendly especially for me. And surprisingly, It has 5 different Custom ROMs to choose from. And this is really fantastic and a good move by UMI.
And lastly, the full metal unibody of UMI Touch. In the review, the reviewer compares the UMI Touch to another smartphones with metal unibody. According to the reviewer, UMI Touch, even though metal made, is easy to hold like it’s not 5.5 inch smartphone. It even underwent a durability tests. OMG, this phone is so durable. I’ve never seen one as durable as this! This makes me addicted to have UMI Touch at any costs!!
Other great things are the camera, both front and rear are good and above average, the display is also great, it doesn’t drains battery fast because of the FHD display partner with 4000 mah battery. It has 4G connectivity as well, and UMI Touch runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It has 16 GB of phone storage, expendable via SD Card up to 128 GB, and it’s also OTG supported. It also has FM Radio.
I can’t express my full excitement of this smartphone until I got my hands on UMI Touch. I’ve really wanted to have one since this is not yet available in the Philippines. It has become my dream phone. I hope you guys from UMI help to fulfill my dream by having this one of a kind smartphone. I’LL BE THE LUCKIEST AND HAPPIEST MAN ON EARTH IF I GET SELECTED.
